Our extensive global presence offers a diverse range of career opportunities across various industries, nations, and job domains, empowering our workforce to continuously enhance their skills and stay competitive.Create a better tomorrow with us!Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products North America Quality Management and EHS department (SI EP NA IO QM&EHS) is seeking a Senior Customer Quality Engineer for our corporate office located in Peachtree Corner, Georgia.This is a critical position within the organization, responsible for minimizing variations with quality processes and supporting customer root-cause analysis requests, product nonconformance investigations, and visits. The Senior Customer Quality Engineer will interface directly with Customers, Sales, and Product Management and coordinate with Plant Quality Management and R&D to assist in resolving potential quality-related issues identified after a product has been delivered. Other duties include processing field audits, assisting in new product launches, and participating in the control process and product quality planning. This role will have a direct interface supporting customers with product quality-related issues and resolution, will work across business segments to help address any customer quality issues identified after a product has shipped, support resolution of field issues and corrective actions, and support external nonconformance reports. In addition, this role will proactively engage with key customers, reviewing and supporting Quality KPI metrics on a regular basis.This is a senior role in the organization that requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – and a passion for excellence, integrity, innovation, and success.The role is based in Peachtree Corners, GA, and supports US customers and manufacturing locations throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada. Siemens will provide a relocation package.You will represent Siemens in a customer-facing role with our customers.You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Lead the instructions, and resolution of customer issues in coordination with plant quality managers, and act as the primary point of contact. Assist in the formulation and implementation of correspondence to our customers, field correction instructions, and standards.
  • Update customers in a timely fashion regarding the status of quality issues or any quality-related requests.
  • Support investigation of customer complaints, lead cross-functional problem-solving teams with focused root cause analysis and sustainable corrective action.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, share lessons learned, and implement best practices across the factories aimed at reducing NCC.
  • Manage and support on-site audits conducted by customers.
  • Mentor plant quality resources on problem-solving methodologies and other quality techniques and assist in new product development.
  • Participate in regular customer reviews by preparing and presenting status updates of open issues.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 5 plus years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing practices, strong auditing skills with a strong CUSTOMER focus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advance degree in engineering
  • Technical understanding of electrical power systems and electrical power distribution/circuit protection products.
  • Strong analytical skills, and excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and presentation skills with effective technical writing skills.
  • High-energy, results-oriented, self-reliant, team player who can positively collaborate across different business departments and cultures.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations with a calm and professional demeanor.

Travel:

  • 30% Travel – both domestically and internationally.
  • International travel experience and the capability to operate in foreign cultures.

  • The pay range for this position is $87,000 – $149,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
