Employment Type: PermanentCompany OverviewSphere Solutions is partnering with an award-winning, privately owned house builder to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for their regional office in Bristol. The suitable candidate will ideally be based in the Gloucester or Cheltenham area due to the location of the sites.Role OverviewYou will report to the Commercial Director, working within an experienced team to provide comprehensive commercial support across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee all aspects of surveying, ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conception to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Management: Take projects from inception through to completion, overseeing all surveying tasks.
- Negotiation: Work with new and existing suppliers to secure fair pricing for materials, labour, and plant.
- Financial Management: Manage subcontractor payments, conduct financial valuations, produce monthly cost reports, and forecast financial valuations.
- Team Leadership: Provide support and guidance to Trainee level staff members.
- Administrative Support: Carry out various adhoc commercial administration duties as required.
Key RequirementsTo be considered for the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor, you should have:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working with a residential house builder.
- Experience using COINS or similar software.
- Relevant industry qualification (preferred).
- Ability to work effectively in a structured team environment.
Role StructureThis is a hybrid role, with a combination of office work at the regional office in Bristol, site visits, and home-based work.On OfferAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will enjoy:
