As a Senior Risk Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will perform a range of more complex technical or operating activities within the Project Management function.Day-to-day, you’ll support Major bids and then projects or programmes within our Mission Systems business area.

  • Manage the Risk Management process across the tenders and projects.
  • Author, implement and maintain the Project Risk Management plan.
  • Implement Risk Management policies/procedures/process and instructions.
  • Establish and implement Risk Management Governance within the project. Maintain Risk Governance arrangements through the project lifecycle.
  • Plan and conduct risk workshop facilitation.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.Essential Experience of the Senior Risk Manager

  • Experience of implementing Risk Governance, Risk Management methodologies, processes, systems and tools.
  • Full project lifecycle experience.
  • Experience in conducting integrated Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies management.
  • The ability to plan, develop and deliver Quantitative Risk Assessment models using appropriate tools to analyse cost and schedule data.
  • Experience working in Project Controls discipline, for example, scheduling, cost management.
  • Advanced Risk & opportunity management techniques, with practical experience of quantitative risk analysis modelling techniques.
  • Recent and relevant experience in a similar environment/business sector, complex defence and/or engineering projects/programmes.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate can be eligible to start on Standard (BPSS) security clearance but would need to achieve Security Check (SC) security clearance.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
