Department Overview

The BRR Input Team provides Borrower Risk Rating (BRR) input support for Commercial Banking Centres (CBCs), Mid-Market Agriculture (MMAG) units, TD Equipment Finance, Automotive Banking Centres, Financial Restructuring Group, and Franchise Banking.
BRRIT is responsible for generating model-implied BRRs for existing and new borrowers by completing all Moody’s Credit Lens inputs, including financial statement input and the input of qualitative assessment.

Job Requirements

Read and understand financial statements (company prepared, notice to reader, review engagement and audited).

  • Education or work experience with a specialization in accounting is preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft desktop software, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Moody’s CreditLens (preferred but not necessary).
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring work is of high quality.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and inter-personal skills.
  • Intermediate fluency in French is an asset.

Job Details

Reporting to the Manager, Borrower Risk Rating, the Senior Risk Rating Specialist is responsible for:

  • Use combination of GAAP, notes to financial statements, and overarching guidelines to correctly identify and input values from financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flow) of privately held companies into the Risk Rating model.
  • Understand intercompany transactions and input the elimination to combine financial statements from multiple companies.
  • Review and close requests for single company inputs.
  • Provide guidance to inputter regarding any errors.
  • Provide excellent service and support to Commercial Banking centers, Agriculture Banking Centers and other Business by monitoring the team’s generic email in-box and responding to questions posed by Commercial Banking Analysts and Account Managers.
  • Act as a Manager on Duty (MOD), which includes monitoring of automation’s phases performance and exception cases.
  • Mentor Risk Rating Specialist and/or seasonal Contractors.
  • Support Manager, Risk Rating in other duties as assigned.
