The Bristol Dental School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and initiative-taking full-time Senior School Administrator to provide high level, pro-active management and professional support across the school.

It is an exciting time to join Bristol Dental School as we have moved to a brand new clinical and teaching facility at 1 Trinity Quay, Avon Street, Bristol.

With the expansion of the school in the new premises this is interesting and challenging opportunity for an adaptable individual with broad range of administrative experience.

This will be an exciting opportunity to work in a demanding but rewarding environment, providing high quality administrative services across the school, supporting the school’s senior leadership team. Responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinating and supporting the work of the central administration team,
  • Co-ordinating the school’s HR functions including the pre-employment process, staff induction and training,
  • Servicing of clinical, education and research committees,
  • Supporting the maintenance of school IT systems such as Radar, Develop, website and intranet,
  • Supporting the development and review process for key school documents,
  • Organising school wide events,
  • Supporting the coordination of school community engagement activities.

You will take responsibility for specific areas of administration and supervise the work of the School’s central administrative team.

You can:

  • Prioritise and manage multiple workloads to meet competing deadlines is key.
  • Manage your own workload, establish priorities and multi-task, use initiative to problem solve and work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Work independently to deliver improvements that will contribute to an excellent school administration service.
  • Commit to working as part of a high functioning team with an ability to take initiative and be proactive in your approach.
  • Develop strong working relationships with staff at a senior level.

The school is looking for an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, with strong administration experience and excellent organisational skills with an attention to detail.

Contract type: Open Ended

Work pattern: Full Time

Grade: G

Salary: £29,605 – £32,982 per annum

School/Unit: Bristol Dental School

Shift pattern: 35 hours per week
