Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.The Senior Signature Banker focuses on deepening client relationships by providing exceptional client service, anticipating client needs and offering solutions appropriate to the client’s banking and wealth goals.The Senior Signature Banker possesses strong knowledge of retail lending, financial products and services, wealth management, Total Wealth Planning as well as risk management. The incumbent has comprehensive experience and product knowledge to deliver personalized and tailored service and lending solutions consistent with mass affluent and emerging high-net-worth (eHNW) client needs.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:Lead Portfolio Management and Risk Mitigation by:
- Acting as the client’s Banking Relationship Manager by providing the highest quality of consistent administrative support to a portfolio of eMHW clients
- Using knowledge of Scotiabank’s diverse products and services to anticipate client needs and proactively delivering solutions through reciprocal referrals that result in deeper client relationships bank-wide
- Proactively contacting and managing client relationships to ensure the accounts and credit facilities are operating satisfactorily
- Supporting the assigned portfolio of eHNW clients by participating in thorough evaluation of the client’s banking and borrowing needs
Consistently delivering the highest level of service and advice during all client interactions by:
- Demonstrating a passion for engaging with affluent and professional clients, delivering exceptional client experiences, and making a significant impact in the lives of our clients
- Developing a full knowledge and understanding of Bank products, services, processes, and policies
- Maintaining an acute focus on responding quickly and resourcefully to client requests, ensuring first time right, speed, and ease
- Providing end-to-end ownership over advice-based solutions including account opening, investments, credit cards, lines of credits and mortgages
Maintain operational effectiveness by:
- Reviewing and resolving client concerns and issues and ensure that the Bank’s Customer Complaint Resolution Process is in place and effective.
- Ensuring strict adherence to Bank security procedures, including assigned authorities and limits
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines, including Privacy, Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing, FCAC, Know Your Customer, CDIC, Occupational Health & Safety
- Reporting fraudulent activities, unusual occurrences, issues, deficiencies, or trends as applicable.
Manage credit risk:
- Fulfilling all credit requests through retail (ACE) adjudication processes ‘First-time Right’
- Ensuring credit facilities operate within authorized terms and conditions
- Ensuring the Bank’s exposure is protected by way of adequate security requirements (if required) and appropriate credit conditions, resolving any issues that may arise. When applicable, escalate concerns to the Senior Manager, Signature Banking
- Ensuring security documentation is accurately prepared, complete, registered and renewed as required
Do you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:
- Strong knowledge of benefits of lending, and proven ability to make sound credit recommendations
- Strong presentation, risk assessment, analytical, accounting and financial analysis skills
- Marketing, communication, networking, interpersonal and business development skills
- Ability to relate comfortably with professional clientele in both a business and social context, demonstrating an ability to display a high degree of poise and professionalism at all times
- Thorough knowledge of all Scotia Wealth Management business lines and their value propositions
Experience and Education:
- Minimum 3-5 years of banking experience
- The incumbent must have at least 3 years of Business and/or Retail Banking experience, dealing with high-net-worth clients and sophisticated financing requirements
- Must be an experienced banker with exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and business development skills
- University degree or college diploma
- Industry courses (e.g. CSC, PFP, CFP) would be considered an asset
