If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, and are eager to contribute your expertise to a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply!Job DescriptionWhat will you do?Develop and deploy software applications utilizing various technologies such as Java, Python, and Angular using Spring Boot, Flask, and Django frameworks.Enhance and customize existing applications based on business requirements.Maintain clear, well-documented, and commented code in a version-controlled repository using Git within GitHub.Ensure that code passes security and vulnerability scans.Understand Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Helios.Develop scripts and automate DevOps/Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.Remain current with Agile, DevOps, and SDLC best practices.Act as an escalation point of contact for Real-Time Bidding (RTB) support teams to troubleshoot production issues and incidents.Occasionally develop and support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions.Raise tickets and track their implementation for infrastructure components related to application development in the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) environment, e.g., Helios onboarding, Microsoft SQL Server, firewall, load balancer.Assist in translating business needs into technical requirements. Perform all necessary tasks to ensure technical availability.Liaise with Business Analysts to support documentation and maintain processes and standards for procurement IT applications.What do you need to succeed?MUST HAVES:Software Development Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing software using Java and/or Python programming languages.Infrastructure Provisioning: Proven ability to provision infrastructure where multiple applications are deployed, including installation and configuration of third-party systems or internal applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.Scripting Skills: Basic proficiency in writing scripts, including knowledge of Python and database querying skills.Scripting Technologies: Familiarity with scripting technologies, such as PowerShell.Database Management: In-depth knowledge of databases, including concepts of Structured Query Language (SQL), indexing, clustering, and performance optimization techniques.Web Services: Experience working with web services, including familiarity with frameworks such as Flask and React.js.Nice-to-haveC# Scripting and Web Development: Experience with C# scripting and web development using ASP.Net and ASP.Net Core.Linux System Administration: Proficiency in Linux system scripting and basic administration.DevOps Understanding: Understanding and experience with DevOps concepts, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
