We are looking for ISEB / ISTQB certified Agile Testers to join our expanding team and impact the solutions we create for our customers. Your role will involve providing specialist testing advice and delivery, being accountable for managing some testing activities on projects within a program or service. You will work as part of a DevOps/Agile squad, or help transform current working processes to Agile and support activities in traditional/agile teams, sometimes leading and managing the testing effort. You will work closely with stakeholders, supplying and presenting reports, plans and estimate test requirements when required.
To be our next Agile Tester, you must be eligible to undergo security vetting due to the nature of our clientele.
Test and Validation (a division of DDaC) is the team responsible for providing testing to Fujitsu accounts and projects across EMEIA. We are a dynamic organization that seeks to understand a customers’ testing needs and create and deliver a solution. The team are distributed across the UK, so we are flexible on location, and we deploy across UK and mainland Europe depending on demand. As well as general expansion we are creating a technical testing community that are responding to the biggest demand we are seeing: that of automation and performance testing this includes myriad skills and tooling requirements as well as the development of discrete products and services.
The role will involve:
- Providing specialist testing advice and delivery
- Accountability for managing testing activities on projects within a program or service
- Working as part of a DevOps/Agile squad
- Supporting activities within sprints
- Leading and managing the testing effort
- Liaising with stakeholders
- Being an advocate for quality and shift-left culture
- Supplying and presenting reports when required.
- Producing plan(s) and estimating test requirements when required
The candidate must:
- Display critical, quality-oriented, analytic and sceptical thinking about the product
- Actively acquire information from stakeholders
- Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality
- Work effectively to define testable user stories, especially acceptance criteria, with customer team members and stakeholders
- Collaborate within the team, working with programmers and other team members
- Respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving test cases
- Plan and organize their own work
Skills, attributes and experience:
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to articulate complex issues
- Agile testing in Scrum
- TDD implementation and optimisation
- BDD acceptance criteria understanding and execution
- Capable of assisting developers with unit testing
- Capable of assisting agile test members with component integration testing
- Development and implementation of end-to-end automated testing solution
- Advocate for freeware, shift left and CI/CD
- ISQTB advanced level certification – test analyst
- Coding experience – able to contribute to coding sprints
Typical technical experience (Mandatory)
- Automation experience e.g. Selenium, Java, AngularJS, JS and C#
- Knowledge of Git, GitHub, TFS, Jenkins
- Clouds services, e.g. AWS, Azure
- API Services – RESTful, POSTman
- Hands on work experience in e.g. JUnit, NUnit and TestNG
- Experience in CI/CD e.g. Cucumber, Slack, Serenity, SpecFlow
Typical technical experience (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Containers, Docker, Kubernetes
- Microservices architecture understanding
- Mocking and stubbing tools, i.e. wiremock, mockito
- NoSQL database – MongoDb, QuerySurge
- Performance and Load tools – JMeter, Neoload, WebLoad, SmartBear
- Querying monitoring tools such as Splunk
