ABOUT YOU

We are looking for the successful candidate to work across the UK Finance team comprises three pillars – Commercial, Technical, and Operational. This role has great learnings and development potential, be part of an even better team!

Required skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA), a background in audit or technical accounting would be advantageous.
  • Proven track record in planning, preparing, and reviewing statutory accounts.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in a strong control environment, ensuring compliance, a good appreciation of internal controls/SOX would be advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic, personable, and excellent written/spoken communication.
  • Independent problem-solver; identifies root causes and develops efficient solutions.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of MS tools, especially MS excel.
  • Preferred experience with IBM Cognos Controller, PeopleSoft, and preparation of CCH accounts production.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work in a busy and diverse company, supporting the business lines across many disciplines.

Key activities:

  • Supporting the annual program of on time production, review and filing of the UK statutory accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of other UK statutory and fiscal filings as delegated, including VAT, PSA, and other official government filing requirements.
  • Work closely with the Group tax team by providing information to support the filing of Corporation Tax computations, including iXBRL tagging of the filed statutory accounts.
  • Supporting the ongoing control compliance program, both executing delegated controls and reviewing control compliance.
  • Proactively driving improvements and enhancements to the control execution methods and evidence.
  • Being a steward and gatekeeper for control, holding the wider finance team and business to account for compliance.
