The position formulates logical statements of administrative, scientific and/or technical problems and devises solutions.Key Job Functions
- Develop and implement new computer systems and enhances old systems by assessing business problems and requirements, and lead the process in providing and implementing computer systems solutions
- Lead the technical analysis, provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for business engagement through entire project development lifecycle
- Plan, supervise and direct work to ensure the technical team acquires sustainable knowledge, skills and technical competencies and that the goals and objectives of the section are achieved

- Extensive hands-on experience and expert knowledge of Payroll and Benefit business processes
- Extensive hands-on experience in configuring SAP in a professional environment on SAP ERP, with expert knowledge on Payroll & Benefit configuration and Payroll processing
- Participation in multiple full life cycle large scale SAP project implementation in the HR Payroll domain
- Deep understanding of SAP Canadian Payroll (PY-CA) and Benefits (PA-BN)
- Experience in year-end payroll activities and Canadian year end reporting
- Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprises with multiple unions/bargaining units and complex payroll rules
- Hands-on experience in design and development of SAP Payroll schemas and PCRs
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Demonstrated experience in CATS or other third party time entry systems, time evaluation and time integration to the Payroll process
- Strong understanding of SAP Payroll processing including but not limited to, Overpayment recovery, Garnishments, Deductions, Arrears, Taxes, and SAP Retro calculation functionality
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of ABAP, FIORI an asset
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of SAP Success Factors and integration with SAP ECC an asset
- Combination of strong technical and business skills is required
- SAP Certification appropriate to the area of expertise an asset
