You will play a crucial role in providing expert tax advice and compliance services to our portfolio of clients. You will also act as a lead to support the Company Secretary and drive profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of UK taxation and regulations, proven experience in using automation to enhance bookkeeping processes, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service!You Are:

  • Qualified with professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
  • Experienced in tax accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
  • Proficient in using Xero and its suite of automation tools (Hubdoc, Xero Tax).
  • Skilled in leveraging automation to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • A strong analytical thinker, able to interpret financial data and provide insights.
  • Excellent in spoken and written English, capable of communicating complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven in delivering high-quality, client-focused services and building strong client relationships.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Committed to maintaining client confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional integrity.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing effective relationships with clients, understanding their expectations and ensuring effective communication around annual accounts and tax matters.
  • Managing the production of annual accounts for clients, statutory returns, ensuring that all bases are covered and advising our bookkeeping department.
  • Helping to develop best practice for both clients and supporting developing internal processes.
  • Providing additional business advisory services which will include tax advice, financial and management accounting once the tax department has been supported.
  • Utilising automation tools within the Xero suite to streamline bookkeeping processes and enhance data accuracy.
  • Collaborating with clients to ensure timely submission of financial documentation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generating financial reports, summaries, and insights using automation features, providing clients with a clear overview of their financial health.
  • Offering expert advice on optimising financial systems, maintaining proper record-keeping, and implementing efficient bookkeeping practices.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, providing strategic insights into business finances and tax planning to maximise savings and achieve financial goals.
  • Communicating complex financial concepts clearly to clients, ensuring a strong understanding of their financial situation.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to share knowledge and best practices, contributing to service improvements.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, automation advancements, and changes in UK tax regulations to provide accurate advice.
  • Supporting and leading the Company Secretary e.g. with compliance tasks and strategic initiatives.
