Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to join the CCT Mainframe development and support team, a dynamic team dedicated to building and supporting integrations across various in-house RBC systems, as well as building in applications to enable our agents in the Advice Centers. The role itself will have the candidate the opportunity to participate in day-to-day production support, maintenance, project, compliance activities including problem solving, planning sessions, testing and coding.What will you do?You will be part of a team creating new services and applications using the latest technologies which will shape the future of banking for RBC; You will develop and support highly scalable, high-performance APIs within an Agile development team.Design and develop code structures based on technical design defined by the team.Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing.Work within an Agile product team comprised of technical, product and business team members to deliver exceptional products.You will actively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges.Drive process standardization and implementation of best practices across existing modelsBuild operational guide documents to strengthen internal documentation.Ensure supported applications are following Enterprise compliance with software and hardware updates along with security standards.What do you need to succeed?Must-haveStrong coding skills in COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, IMS, DB2Experience with Mainframe DevOps, IBM DataStage, Zeke, Stonebranch UAC, Stonebranch Universal CommandLeadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment.Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.Nice-to-haveExperience with cloud – OCPAny Unix is a bonus.Drive to problem solve and proven analytical skills.Knowledge of design, development, and implementation utilizing current analytics technologiesWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
