Job Description:Senior Test SpecialistUnited KingdomWe are looking for a tester to join our team and help deliver on our portfolio of testing projects. Your role will involve providing specialist testing advice to our customers and delivering on that advice. You will be accountable for managing testing activities on application or cloud infrastructure projects within a program or service. As a consequence of your testing activities you will supply stakeholders with the data they require to be able to make informed decisions in respect to solution or component suitability to progress to the next development stage or for release into production. You will also be expected to contribute to test estimation as and when required.To be our next Agile Tester, you must be eligible to undergo security vetting due to the nature of our clientele.Test and Validation (a division of DDaC) is the team responsible for providing testing to Fujitsu accounts and projects across EMEIA. We are a dynamic organization that seeks to understand a customers’ testing needs and create and deliver a solution. The team are distributed across the UK, so we are flexible on location, and we deploy across UK and mainland Europe depending on demand. As well as general expansion we are creating a technical testing community that are responding to the biggest demand we are seeing: that of automation and performance testing this includes myriad skills and tooling requirements as well as the development of discrete products and services.Duties
- Understand requirements for testing and agree testing scope with stakeholders
- Be accountable for the delivery of testing activities within budget and timescale
- May have accountability for management of a test team
- Create test plan documents or test strategy for projects, that address the requirements and mitigate the risks of the solution under test
- Organise test materials, environments, tools and resources required to deliver the planned testing activities and co-ordinates the delivery of testing against the schedule
- Report test progress, risks and test incidents and collect test measurements and metrics
- Undertake bid and pre-sales activities where appropriate
Your experience
- You can produce clear and unambiguous test plans that address project requirements and risks
- Effectively communicate test plans and/or strategies throughout project & customer teams
- Successfully delivers all testing activities identified in test plans within budget and timescale constraints
- You can produce accurate test cases that address clearly defined requirements
- Familiar with range of testing tools
- Experience with contributing to bids and testing standards
- SQL experience essential, UNIX and Windows skills required
- Technical skillset, main focus has been database testing, some operational acceptance testing and non functional testing.
