We pride ourselves on the longevity of this contract, and the close working relationship we have developed over the last 23 years.WSP work collaboratively as part of the Shropshire Alliance alongside Shropshire Council and Kier. We deliver a broad range of exciting projects, providing new and varied opportunities on this contract and within the wider WSP business. Your new role, what’s involved?Essential Experience
- Extensive experience in the design of complex traffic signal junctions, signalised roundabouts and pedestrian crossings as either a standalone project or as part of a multi-disciplinary project.
- Effectively manage a team with varying skill levels, to successfully deliver desired outcomes.
- Experience in all aspects of scheme delivery including design, site supervision, consultation, report writing, procurement and financial control.
- Undertaking technical reviews of third-party designs.
- A good working knowledge of QMS, H&S & CDM2015.
- Preliminary and detailed design, to Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW).
- Preparation of NEC 4 contract documents and contract administration.
- Sound knowledge of project programming, risk management and project accounting.
- Knowledge of ICT including relevant traffic signals/transport planning systems.
- Be able to drive and have a full driving license.
Desirable Experience
- Experience of SCOOT and MOVA design and validation.
- Experience in use of LinSig.
- Experience of other ITS systems/equipment including TAFs, VAS, VMS, and communications technology
