The ITDS team are seeking a collaborative Senior Vendor Analyst to join their team at an exciting time at The University of Adelaide’s journey.

Reporting to the Vendor Assurance Manager, ITDS, this unique opportunity will see the successful individual collaborating on a large portfolio working alongside an experienced small knit immediate team, to assist in the management of Vendors over the supplier lifecycle from inception to delivery. The role requires high level stakeholder engagement and financial management skills liaising and working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement vendor assurance programs
  • Conduct vendor audits and assessments
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vendor quality and service delivery
  • Maintain vendor documentation and records
  • Management of contracted budget
  • Reconciliation of invoices and payments
  • Tracking escalated issues, reporting of root cause analysis

To be successful you will need:

  • High level understanding of Vendor Management, Commercial Management, Quality Assurance and IT contracting models and associated processes, principles, methodologies and tools.
  • A good knowledge of finance with a focus on the ability manage vendor finance and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and creative thinking, and a capacity to plan
  • Highly developed written, verbal and presentation skills, with a consultative and collaborative communication style to the delivery of high level of engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team exercising a high degree of independent operation, strategic, problem solving and creative thinking, and a capacity to plan, prioritise and implement strategies for a large and complex organisation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in vendor management and quality assurance
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training

An Industry certification in contract and/or vendor management is desirable however not essential.
