Within the Network Management Directorate, the Technology Domain develops and maintains Network Management (NM) Directorate’s mission-critical systems, including all NM ops systems, the related communications facilities and technical infrastructure, and supports the Agency’s IT solutions and services.

As the new Service Asset and Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the service assets and configuration management processes including the ITSM tooling services, and drive continuous processes improvement in view of maximising  the services.

Your role will be to:

  • Deploy service assets and configuration management processes (both software and hardware services) and ensure these ones are fit for purpose and operational at any time.
  • Anticipate future IT needs versus existing infrastructure’s architecture, perform impact assessments, and investigate design options.
  • Drive performance reviews and continuous improvement activity to deliver increased value to end-users.
  • Maintain the asset and configuration management databases (AMDB & CMDB) and ensure completeness and correctness; act on any potential issues.
  • Monitor services assets (e.g. laptop, token, etc) and licences (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, SAS, etc) and ensure compliance as needed.
  • Oversee the effective delivery and execution of the ITSM tooling services (e.g. IT service desk, service catalogue, incident/change/problem/asset/configuration management, etc) and support from the external suppliers, and interface on activities with relevant services’ owners and internal teams.
  • Produce technical documentation, reports, data analysis, etc and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Lead and organise processes controls and reviews on a periodic basis to ensure that the software and hardware overall services are running according to the defined standards.
  • Follow latest evolutions in field of expertise and share best practices within the internal community.
  • Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:
  • Completed university degree of 4 years in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, or in other related technical field) or completed university degree of 3 years plus 1 year of relevant working experience, or professional training of an equivalent level.
  • Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate would be a definite asset.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux IT Infrastructure, Azure environment and DevOps methodology.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Apps, Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate, Java scripts, Workflow Automation.
  • Knowledge in the use of ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of IT Service Management processes (ITSM).
  • Experience on discovery tools and integration with CMDB would be a definite asset.
  • Experience or knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM) tooling would be an asset.
