I am recruiting on behalf of my client who is looking for an service desk engineer (1st/ 2nd line) this will suit someone who has good technical skills coupled with good communication skills, the ability to deal with a face pace environment and good interaction skills with all levels of the business. This role will also give the individual to take part in project work when the opportunity arises.
Experience
- Be the first point of call for our end users regarding issues related to hardware and software.
- Using our ticketing system and following ITIL to manage and close tickets in a timely manner.
- Communicate and escalate effectively to our 2nd line team.
- Help with setup and configuration of new equipment.
- Responsible for onboarding/off boarding (joiners, leavers and movers) withing the business.
- Maintaining the asset register.
- Office 365 Administration (Active Directory Management, Exchange Management, Microsoft Teams Management, SharePoint Management).
- Email Gateway administration. Managing emails and message tracking and input in improving the service via automation.
- Creating, updating, maintaining documentation related to the service desk and support functions.
Key Skills needed:
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with Office 365
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good organisation skills
- The ability to learn in-house systems and explain them to other people
The role is paying between £30,000 – £35,000, free on site gym, bar, personal trainer, barbershop / hair salon, company annual ski trips, private healthcare, 25 days holidays + bank holidays.
Office location is close to Paddington train station. This role requires candidates to be present in the office 5 days a week.
