The Integrated Sexual Health and Reproductive Services Department at LNWH NHS Trust is looking to recruit for a Band 6 Health Adviser post on a 37.5-hour per week full-time contract. We are open to receiving applicants from candidates with a non-nursing background; counselling skills and knowledge of health promotion are preferable.The service is delivered from our established clinics based at Central Middlesex Hospital and community services located in Ealing, Hillingdon, and Harrow. The sexual health service supports over 20,000 sexual health attendances each year and has a cohort of over 700 HIV+ patients.We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and work predominantly from our Central Middlesex Hospital’s Patrick Clements Clinic. We are looking for an individual who has excellent knowledge and experience working in sexual health and who is committed to providing excellent service to our patients and maintaining our philosophy of open access to all. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop skills within the fields of integrated sexual reproductive health and HIV. - NMC Registered Adult Nurse holding or other relevant degree (public health, psychology)

- Qualification in HIV and/or counselling
ExperienceEssential
- 2yrs post registration experience with a minimum of 6 months experience working within GUM/HIV and/or an integrated sexual and reproductive healthcare setting
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the principles of partner notification for sexually transmitted infections.
- Knowledge of sexual health education and promotion
Desirable
- Knowledge of education and health promotion within HIV care.
