We have an exciting opportunity for you at RSK to join our existing Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Department, as part of the divisional team responsible for supporting RSK’s Geosciences and Engineering division.The successful candidate will need to live within a commutable distance to either Bristol, Chester or Hemel Hempstead.It’s an opportunity to make a real, practical difference to the Geosciences and Engineering division, which consists approximately of 2000 staff and over 40 companies. Helping to achieve Zero Harm, you will coordinate divisional adherence to SHEQ strategic objectives and targets. You will take an active part in campaigns and initiatives to keep our workforce safe and healthy and save lives on construction sites, laboratories, and other places of work.You will also support the businesses within the division to meet the necessary environmental criteria, and leave a positive legacy on the communities we work in.Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a business partner to the Divisional Leadership and to all businesses by providing support and guidance on SHEQ related matters and the delivery of legal compliance obligations
  • Advising and guiding key stakeholders
  • Supporting and coordinating the delivery of the divisional SHEQ Strategy
  • Supporting and coordinating the SHEQ onboarding of newly acquired businesses.
  • Supporting the closing out of actions raised through internal and external audits as well as site inspections.
  • Supporting businesses with SHEQ during the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires and tender submissions
  • Supporting with the writing and cascading of SHEQ-related communications targeted for the divisional, service strands, or individual businesses.
  • Assisting the SHEQ team in providing SHEQ compliance, advice, guidance with applicable legislation and industry best practice.

Person Specification:

  • Prior experience in a health and safety position with good technical knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • A NEBOSH General Certificate, ideally TechIOSH status, and experience with ISO standards
  • Good interpersonal skills with experience in engaging/managing relationships with senior leadership and other senior stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Travel (UK, and occasionally internationally) for up to 30% of workload
  • Must hold a full UK drivers licence

Salary & Benefits:

  • £25,000 – £40,000 depending on experience and qualifications
