For information on our international network visit .Job Summary:Coordinates development and distribution of company communications to enhance the organization’s public image, support employee engagement, and establish relationships with stakeholders. Assists with coordination of recruiting activities, including candidate outreach and engagement, interviewing/selection, and maintenance of applicant tracking and other HR systems. Provides general administrative support to the HR team. This position handles confidential information.Main Responsibilities:

  • Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
  • Work collaboratively with HR team and other departments
  • Create compelling content for job postings, company announcements, newsletters, and social media platforms; act as subsidiary coordinator for article and content submission to Colas publications
  • Coordinate social media accounts and content posting calendars; engage with followers, and respond to inquiries
  • Ensure communication materials and activities are consistent with the organization’s brand identity and guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge of industry and trends in best-practice communication and employment branding
  • Assist with development and implementation of internal and external communication strategy to support positive brand image, employee engagement, and consistent communication across channels
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communication efforts and social media metrics; recommend improvements
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and implementing internal and external events, including community outreach
  • Engage with schools, professional organizations, and other entities to promote company brand and build networks
  • Support the talent acquisition and engagement function by coordinating and attending recruiting events, assisting with candidate sourcing and interviewing, and other general recruiting administration tasks
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in HRIS/ATS and other electronic filing systems
  • Assist with employee lifecycle functions including onboarding/offboarding, new employee orientation, etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed; respond to HR-related inquiries and direct employees to responsible HR team member or resources/information as appropriate
  • Assist with other HR projects and programs as assigned

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in public relations, communications, business, marketing, human resources or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience); bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Professional certification in HR, talent acquisition, marketing/communications or other related field a plus
  • Valid Drivers’ License and ability to maintain clean driving record required

Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience working in marketing, communications, recruiting, human resources, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience with technology platforms (social media, electronic mail, etc.) to enhance communication
  • Experience using graphic/marketing design tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft/Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and related software a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft engaging content
  • Ability to communicate professionally, engage with diverse groups of people, and present in front of groups
  • Ability to plan and organize work, maintain attention to detail and deliver results under pressure of set timelines
  • Basic knowledge of core HR functional areas and employment law principles
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with team members
  • Bilingual language skills a plus (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements:

  • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelines
  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device
  • Regularly required to communicate and receive information (talk and hear)
  • Regularly required to perform tasks requiring visual acuity, including but not limited to reading, writing/typing, & driving
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly required to stand/work on feet for long periods
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods at a desk using a computer
  • Occasionally required to visit worksites involving exposure to loud noise, dust, heavy equipment, and machinery typical of construction and mining/manufacturing site conditions, including all-weather conditions
  • Frequent travel required to attend recruiting/networking events, business meetings, training, etc.
