As a Site Supervisor at FIRST ONSITE, you will coordinate commercial property restoration project activities, resources, equipment, and information/reports to ensure our commercial construction/restoration/emergency mitigation staff and projects run smoothly.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will optimize staff efficiency and complete projects to First Onsite’s standards. Your focus will be on meeting and exceeding the goals and needs of the Construction Department and First Onsite – working hard and having fun. We love what we do and it shows!If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply today and join our dynamic complex commercial team!A Day in the Life of a Site SupervisorEvery day as a Site Supervisor at First Onsite is dynamic and demanding, starting with reviewing and scheduling all in-house work from Project Managers. Ensuring quality and efficiency, you oversee the demolition process to meet our high standards and create comprehensive materials lists for repairs. You meticulously review and revise project scopes before work begins, providing immediate direction and assistance to onsite crews to meet scheduled completion timetables. You keep all parties updated on progress and changes, lead your team to achieve corporate strategic objectives, and enforce health and safety policies rigorously. Throughout the day, you maintain detailed project schedules, monitor staff efficiency, and review and authorize time sheets. Inspecting progress and work quality during and after repairs, you ensure all scope requirements are met and report outcomes to the Operations Manager. With your deep construction process knowledge, project scheduling expertise, and strong communication skills, you navigate the challenges of reconstruction practices for properties affected by various damages, ensuring every project runs smoothly and efficiently.Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years as a successful construction Supervisor/Lead/Foreman, managing up to 25 reports in the restoration/emergency or construction industry
- In-depth understanding of reconstruction for water, wind, mold, fire, and vandalism damage (IICRC standards apply)
- Familiarity with Canadian building codes and related laws and ordinances
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and essential knowledge of Xactimate
- Accounting/Reporting skills and experience for invoicing and billing
- Team player with a commitment to customer service excellence
- Physical ability to perform labor, handle materials, climb ladders, wear a respirator, and work in tight spaces
