This is a management service position.This role is a hybrid of remote work and will need to report to the office when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. In fulfilling its , ODE has the vision to ensure all students have access to and benefit from a world-class, well–rounded, and equitable education system.What you will do!The primary purpose of this position is to support effective implementation of programs across each of the 19 Education Service Districts (ESDs) and to provide assistance and administrative support to Oregon’s smallest districts.Typical Duties Include:Coordinating with ESDs, districts and ODE to support districts to complete planning, engagement, application, implementation, or reporting processes across any state or federal programs. This currently numbers over 140 distinct programs.Supporting and collaborating with ESD staffing in ways that enhance focal support for districts most in need of additional assistance.Coordinating regional conversation and knowledge exchange on improving processes or systems that reduce administrative confusion and increase program alignment and effectiveness.Supporting the effective implementation of integrated program guidance of the Office of Education Innovation and Improvement.What you need to qualifyA Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years experience coordinating or administering a program.ORAny combination of experience or education equivalent to eight years coordinating or administering a program.Qualifying program coordination or administration experience must include developing a stand alone program or coordinating a stand alone program which provided services external from an agency, such as providing services to state residents, local agencies, governments, non-profit organizations, or tribal governments.Desired Attributes (what we are looking for):Experience working in or with small school districts – those with less than 2,000 students.Experience in research, analysis, program evaluation, assessment design and development, and the implementation of evidence-based policy and practices.Knowledge of Oregon’s P-20 education policy issues, and experience with policy development, implementation, and legislative protocols and processes.Experience providing advice or technical assistance to community and educational partners.Experience managing projects with multiple constituencies.Experience in large and small group facilitation, and developing, consulting, or supporting teams to advance family and community engagement, equity, culturally sustaining education, and/or continuous improvement efforts.Experience developing and executing co-constructed processes and practices, and working with culturally and individually diverse groups, including sovereign nations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to make connections across differences, build rapport, understand what motivates people, and communicate effectively with diverse motivations.We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job.
