Job Summary

SOA Career Manager to both undergraduate and graduate accounting students. Under the direction of the SOA Career Director, facilitates career option and career development discussions with students, manages recruiting events and processes, manages related student experiential opportunities including networking trips (Net Treks), Meet the Firms, recruiter panels, company sponsored case studies/competitions, etc. Under the direction of the SOA Career Director, manages non-BYU MAcc recruiting relationships.

 

What you’ll do in this position: 

  • Under the direction of the SOA Career Director, advise and mentor School of Accountancy (SOA) undergraduate graduate students in their career exploration, professional development and internship/full-time job search and placement.
  • Under the direction of the SOA Career Director, oversee planning of Networking Trips (Net Treks). NO TRAVEL REQUIRED.
  • Manage student placement reporting.
  • Under the direction of the SOA Career Director, manage recruiting events and processes.
  • Under the direction of the SOA Career Director, manage Master of Accountancy (MAcc) recruiting relationships.

 

What qualified you for this role?

Minimum education/experience required: 

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (preferred degrees: Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics) with 2 years relevant corporate experience or equivalent combination. 
  •   Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (preferred degrees: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics) with 5 years (combined) of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
