The Social & Behavior Change officer (SBC) provides technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process, and prepares, manages, and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Nutrition and BISP-BNP Programme output results for the humanitarian and development in the field office.
Summary of key functions accountabilities:
The SBC Officer will be responsible for the effective implementation of the SBC component within the Nutrition Program in Balochistan, including Benazir Nashonuma Program. The officer will ensure that SBC interventions are aligned with nutrition goals and contribute to improving maternal, infant, and young child feeding (MIYCF) practices, dietary diversity, and overall nutrition outcomes. The appointee will work closely with provincial and district-level partners, including government bodies (BISP, DoH, Nutrition Directorate, LHW Program), UNICEF, WFP, and community-based organizations (CBOs), to deliver on the following key responsibilities.
- Strengthening Social Behavior Change (SBC) for Nutrition
- Capacity Building and Capacity Development:
- Coordination and Partnership Management:
- Community Engagement and Social Mobilization:
- Technical Support for SBC Tools and Approaches:
- SBC Performance Monitoring:
- Support for Advocacy and Policy Engagement
- Development of Provincial SBC Action Plans
- Reporting and Accountability

Minimum requirements:
Education:
- A university degree (Bachelor’s) in one of the following fields is required: social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations, or another relevant technical field.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: social & behavior change program, social development Programme planning, communication for development, public advocacy or another related area.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required.
