In collaboration with our Head of Digital Planning and Social Media Manager, you will develop and implement cutting-edge community management and influencer strategies.Your mission: to engage diverse audiences, increase brand loyalty, and grow authentic connections across our consumer-facing social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the online presence of our iconic Penguin brand and our beloved sub-brands, The Happy Foodie, Dead Good Books, and Penguin Platform.Key responsibilities:
- Spearhead community management strategies for our social channels, focusing on Penguin and occasionally Dead Good, Happy Foodie, and Penguin Platform.
- Drive influencer marketing initiatives across our social platforms.
- Collaborate with the team to monitor social media channels, responding to comments and inquiries promptly.
- Serve as a feedback conduit, relaying valuable insights to inform content development.
- Identify and engage with super fans and readers, crafting exceptional fan and reader experiences.
- Cultivate strong relationships with influencers to enhance brand visibility.
- Engage with authors and talent across the organisation to foster meaningful interactions.
- Coordinate with our Social Media Manager and Social Producers to plan and execute content and activation schedules.
- Partner with Brand Marketing, Design, and Content teams to maximise community engagement during campaigns.
- Occasionally create content to support various initiatives, even though it is not the primary focus of the role.
- Lead social media community engagement projects as needed, such as #AskPenguin and Instagram Stories Takeovers.
What you will bringEssential criteria:
- Significant experience managing social media accounts for a major company, brand, or publisher.
- Proven expertise in building and nurturing online communities.
- Demonstrable experience in collaborating with influencers.
- Exceptional relationship-building abilities.
- Adaptability to thrive in a flexible environment.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in creating both static and video assets for social media.
