RESOLVE Saskatchewan is part of RESOLVE, a prairie-based research network that coordinates and supports research aimed at ending violence, especially gender-based violence. RESOLVE creates partnerships among service agencies, government departments, and universities across the prairie provinces. RESOLVE SK is led by Dr. Jorden Cummings, who is a Professor in the Department of Psychology & Health Studies. Dr. Cummings also leads the Stress & Wellness Research Lab (SWeRL).
PICASSO Research Cluster is a newly formed research group that studies the coordination and alignment of both self and society.
Position
RESOLVE SK, SWeRL, and the PICASSO Research Cluster are seeking an individual to monitor, maintain, and create the social media posts of both groups (X, Instagram, BlueSky, LinkedIn, etc.).
In the appointment of a Student Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
Your general location of work will be negotiable and can be remote. Some in-office attendance will be required. You will report to RESOLVE SK’s Research Engineer and Dr. Jorden Cummings.
Required Number of Hours: 3-5 hours/week.
Duration of Employment: February 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension.
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
- Experience creating content and maintaining the social media of an organization.
- Must be able to follow the guidelines and principles of the organizations.
- Undergraduate or graduate student.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be a self-starter.
- Proficiency in Canva, Photoshop/Gimp, Illustrator or other content creation software.
- Professional and collaborative interpersonal skills, including effectively building relationships with stakeholders.
- Work effectively with research teams and the community.
