  • You will assist with the management of classified Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) operations.
  • You will assist the Division Chief in developing, writing, analyzing, coordinating, synchronizing, integrating and briefing SOCPAC policy documents and providing policy input.
  • You will provide articulate Flag Officer/General Officer level information papers; position papers; briefings; and talking points with regard to policy the Political-Military (POL-MIL) Operational Environment and other issues affecting the command.
  • You will contribute to the planning processes by providing regional expertise and knowledge and coordinates understanding of the environment with all lndo-Pacific stakeholders.
  • You will provide expert level advice and guidance to COMSOCPAC and other SOCPAC senior leaders on the strategic policy process and on policy issues.
  • You will provide analysis and input to a variety of National, Regional and Bi-lateral level Policy and Strategy; Doctrines; Contingency Plans (CON PLANS); Operational Plans (OPLANS); Campaign Plans; and Strategies.

QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in developing, writing, analyzing, coordinating, synchronizing, integrating and briefing SOCPAC policy documents and providing policy input, to include: Theater Strategy; SOCPAC Campaign Plans; Strategic Estimate; Partnership Strategy; and SOCPAC Strategic Vision; 2) Providing timely and relevant POL MIL support to best support SOCPAC objectives and goals, while ensuring synchronization and communications with INDOPACOM, adjacent Component commands, U.S. Country Teams, the Interagency and subordinate commands; 3) Providing planning, oversight, and assessment of SOCPAC Security Cooperation programs, Regional and Country expertise and support to SOCPAC senior leader engagements and representation at Partner Nations’ Bilateral Defense Dialogues; 4) Overseeing an AOR wide integrated and transparent Security Cooperation Policy Driven program; 5) Establishing and maintaining extensive liaison with U.S. diplomatic missions, foreign security forces, other government agencies, and other organizations to coordinate policy and strategic level planning; 6) Providing analysis and input to a variety of National, Regional and Bi-lateral level Policy and Strategy; Doctrines; Contingency Plans (CONPLANS); Operational Plans (OPLANS); Campaign Plans; and Strategies.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.EducationThere is no educational substitution for experience in this series at this grade level.Additional informationThis position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
