We are currently seeking anexperienced Band 6 Specialised Cardiac Radiographer, based within the Cardiac Cath Labenvironment, covering EP, pacing, structural, and coronary intervention cases.BHC is one of the largest cardiac centres in the world, utilising state-of-the-art equipment, with 9Siemens Catheter Labs, a Philips structural heart lab and Philips hybrid theatre with plans forexpansion, leading the way in world-first procedures using latest technological advances andundertaking ground-breaking research and live broadcasting of cases for educational meetings andcongresses, with opportunities to get involved.As part of this fast paced, exciting role you would be a key member of the MDT, offering lifechanging, life-saving diagnosis and treatment to patients from London and beyond.The Cath Labs provide 24 hour Heart Attack and Arrhythmia services via 3 call systems. The workingpattern is comprised of 4x 9.5hr shifts per week, with optional weekend lists on staff bank.Our highly specialised Radiography team will provide excellent training, mentoring and support for the successful applicants. We actively support staff wellbeing, CPD participation and additional training opportunities.Main duties of the jobThe aim of this role is to work as a specialist in Cardiac Cath Lab Radiography and be will responsible for providing high quality, safe and effective Imaging services within Cardiac Catheter Labs to enable the delivery of electrophysiology, pacing, structural, and coronary intervention cases. The post holder will work closely with Radiographers, students and clinical staff of all grades in the multi-disciplinary team to provide safe, prompt and effective imaging, whilst ensuring effective radiation protection at all times, therefore resulting in minimal radiation doses to staff and patients.About usBarts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers.The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. - Evidence of advanced knowledge in Cardiac Radiographic Imaging/ procedure
