Please see below for a detailed job description for the role.Main duties of the jobAn opportunity has arisen to join the Cross-Sectional Imaging Department at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. We have a friendly, hardworking team of over 60 Radiographers. Due to continuing expansion, we are seeking enthusiastic, talented radiographers with skills and experience to join us at band 6.You will rotate through CT, MRI and Neuro Interventional Angiography. • HCPC Registration
• Considerable post graduate experience of working in a department using IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR 2017 regulations in clinical practice
• Appropriate BSc Radiography degree
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Able to work within protocols
• Sound knowledge of all areas of Governance including H&S, COSHH, Manual Handling
• Experience of teaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues training and development.
• Effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills including responding appropriately to distressed patients and staff and distressing circumstances e.g. suspected physical abuse, major trauma, cancer and death.
• Proven ability to effectively adapt imaging technique when necessary
• Ability to prioritise workload
