Start Date: ASAPAbout the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a all through school in Meldreth (SG8 postcode).This role involves providing one-to-one support to a student with complex learning difficulties and Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as assisting with classroom activities to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-to-one support to a student with complex learning difficulties and SEN needs, facilitating their engagement in all aspects of school life.
  • Assist in delivering tailored educational activities and interventions to meet the student’s individual needs.
  • Support the student’s personal and social development, helping them build confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student’s needs are effectively met.
  • Contribute to classroom activities and support the teacher in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback and updates as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with complex learning difficulties, is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or a related field would be advantageous.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
