  • Recognised SLT Degree/diploma
  • RCSLT and HCPC Registered or pending registration for final year SLT students.

Desirable

  • NQP competencies completed

ExperienceEssential

  • Experience of working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Experience of adults with special needs i.e. Learning Disabilities or Deaf patients

Desirable

  • Experience in delivery of structured groups
  • Experience of working with patients with mental health problems

Further TrainingDesirable

  • Portfolio of relevant post qualification CPD
  • Post basic dysphagia training or completed competencies

KnowledgeEssential

  • Theoretical knowledge of SLT delivery including the use of different approaches and multi-disciplinary working, across different contexts and environments.
  • Knowledge of national policies and procedures (relevant to the client group)
  • Undergraduate Knowledge of different approaches to working with adults with speech, language, communication needs and eating, drinking, and swallowing needs.

  • Ability to travel between sites.
