We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our client’s team located in Oakville. In this role, you will manage financial processes and present key financial data. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health of the organization and involves a variety of responsibilities, from processing invoices to assisting with budgets and forecasts.Responsibilities:
- Oversee month-end close processes for accurate and timely financial statement preparation.
- Manage full-cycle payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable duties, accurately recording all transactions.
- Conduct financial analysis, interpreting revenue and expenditure data, and identifying key variances.
- Prepare and present financial analytics to the board, explaining what’s driving revenue and expenses.
- Take ownership of financial statements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Manage journal entries in the general ledger, maintaining a clear and accurate record of all financial transactions.
- Display a coachable personality, open to continuous learning and improvement.
- Process invoices accurately and efficiently, maintaining clear records of all transactions.
- Perform administrative duties related to financial processes as required.
- Conduct reconciliations, including account and balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Assist other VPs with financial-related inquiries, providing clear and accurate information.
- Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts, providing accurate financial data for planning purposes.
- Generate reports as needed, providing clear and accurate financial data to support decision-making.
- The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a key requirement for this role.
- The candidate should have a robust knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
- Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is essential.
- Familiarity with the General Ledger is necessary for this role.
- The ability to manage Journal Entries is a critical requirement.
- The candidate must be adept in using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Month End Close procedures is a significant requirement.
- The candidate should be proficient in using NetSuite software.
