We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Gloucester, Ontario, K1J 9H8, Canada. In this role, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks including year-end files, dealing with revenue Canada CRA Audits, and managing client relationships. You will also have the chance to work with full-cycle computerized programs like QuickBooks.Responsibilities:-Manage year-end files and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date
-Handle all interactions with Revenue Canada CRA Audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all transactions
-Foster and maintain professional relationships with clientele, providing excellent customer service and fostering trust
-Utilize full-cycle computerized programs such as QuickBooks to manage and monitor financial data
-Prioritize workloads effectively, demonstrating flexibility in managing multiple tasks and deadlines
-Exhibit strong organizational skills, paying great attention to detail and accuracy in all work
-Display superior written and verbal communication skills in all interactions with clients and team members
-Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Year-end Audits, Year-end Tax, T4 Experience, and T1 – T3 to perform job functions effectively.-Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-A minimum of five years of professional experience in an accounting role.
-Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
-Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries.
-Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
-Experience with Month End Close procedures.
-Familiarity with software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
-Experience with Year-end Audits and Year-end Tax.
-Exposure to T4 Experience, T1 – T3 is necessary.
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
