  • Support the maintenance of the costing module for both USD and CAD operating units
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month and year end close in accordance with corporate accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure all product inventory and cost of sales are properly recorded in our financial statements
  • Execute required system testing for upgrade/enhancements to software
  • Direct contact for plant finance with troubleshooting issues and system knowledge
  • Review net realizable value and the gross margin for select combination of plants and/or products
  • Create reports for various departments within the organization
  • Aid with ad hoc queries requested by senior management
  • Prepare supporting information used in audits
  • Execute and implement continuous improvement initiatives

What you will bring:

  • Professional accounting designation with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Oracle financial reporting systems and cost accounting (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically with confidence and speed in execution
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks, projects, stakeholder interests, and deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills with a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment or independently as the need arises
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, PowerQuery)
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility (preferred)
