Security oversight.This critical role acts as a key knowledge resource and is an invaluable support in the preparation, registration and maintenance of collateral securities and in servicing CWB’s loan and lease portfolio. As the Sr. Collateral Securities Specialist, you will work reciprocally with the leaders to help drive a high level of quality and standards, risk management, strong data integrity, high quality coaching to both onsite and remote teams. You will provide peer-to-peer mentorship and coaching for specialists in the collateral space.Objectives for this positionClient experience. Collaboration. Service delivery. Process specialistClient ExperienceLead delivery of exceptional client experiences at every interaction and execute on plans to continuously build the client experience, in line with CWB’s brand promise.Internal Service DeliverablesProvide support for the branch network, through continuous collaborative approach with the business and corporate departments.Provide support to branch managers and client relationship managers while corresponding with branches.Ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and quality benchmarks for credit support are being metProvides direct loan collateral securities support to branch managers and customer relationship managers, as required. Correspond with branches, both verbally and in writing, regarding loan processing and branch inquiries.Ensures understanding on closing requirements with branch lending teams, customers and attorneys as needed and ensures that all closings occur within scheduled target dates.Process Compliance & OptimizationEnsure contributions to collateral securities comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures to ensure the branch network are able to continue to deliver a high level of customer service.Accountability as the team member for the execution of work procedures, policies and methods to ensure compliance with Canadian Western Bank’s legal, regulatory business policies and procedures.Contribute to the progress of targeted benefit realization from credit processing standardizationActively works to ensure standardized collateral securities processes are followed and data integrity is consistently achieved, monitored and maintained.Participates in projects that primarily impact functional area or specific department, adhering to standard project governance practices and operating within approved budget.Due diligence as it relates to credit support activities, procedures and documentation for compliance with regulatory bodies.Provide quality control and double check documents produced by the Collaterals Securities Team for accuracy and completionContribute to the implementation and maintenance of processes which lead to consistent and predictable daily credit support outcomes across the branch network.Contribute to the progress of continuous improvement of all Credit Support processes specific to the preparation, registration, and maintenance of collateral securities.Knowledge to grow fromMinimum of 5 years credit support experience with strong knowledge of collateral securitiesKnowledge of commercial lending, loan administration and credit processes.Experience in risk assessments, business banking and credit processes, including loan administration, collateral securities and credit processes including more complex commercial loans.Strong working knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, regulations, documentation, compliance issues, collateral securities and audit requirements.Strong knowledge of the Banking System, Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Forms.Skills to take you furtherCustomer focused, with proven ability to engage in and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast paced, high volume, work environment.Identify efficiencies and continuous improvement in processes aligned with corporate culture.Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to diffuse challenging situations and find common ground.Respectful, dedicated, and self-motivated teammate with experience in peer-to-peer coaching and mentorship.Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact expertly with a diverse group of partners in a non-client facing environmentWhy work with us?Your success is our obsession!
