Our extensive experience, connections, and deep expertise across different sectors, industries, and transportation modes, means we can be counted on for process excellence that will save time and money.The primary role of the Sr Finops controller is to ensure proper financial behaviors related revenue generation, cost accruals, timely payments, and quality financial reporting. In addition to financial behaviors, Senior partners is also responsible for billing and being the station’s point of contact with our fin-ops team in Mexico. They also hold responsibilities for root cause analysis and resolution.Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategic Maersk freight goals in accordance with the growth strategy
  • Ensure timely revenue accruals and invoicing,
  • Ensure timely cost accruals, and on time / correct supplier payments
  • Ensure quality financial processes and reporting
  • Drive improvements in MGF profitability
  • Responsibilities for analysis and corrective actions for key items/projects

Accountabilities

  • On time invoicing, on time payments
  • Drive cost control measures
  • Drive reduction in charge backs, leakage and improve margin

Required experience & skillsEDUCATION & TECHNICAL CERTIFICATION

  • University degree, BA in related field preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ Years in the Transportation/logistics/freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven financial acumen in transportation
  • Entrepreneurial type mentality / Self-starter, avid problem solver
  • Ability to complete daily fin ops tasks that drive the overall strategy
  • Able to deliver outcomes in high pressure environments
  • Ability to understand upstream processes and teach correct financial behavior
  • Practical experience with Change management and Risk / Risk Mitigation
  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong and current knowledge of technology platforms, MS Office products, and ability to quickly adapt to new software.

The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
