What is the opportunity?
As a financially savvy individual, with experience working in an agile delivery environment, you will wear many hats in this role, including managing the detailed spend of several groups, providing rigor around vendor management, running critical TI operational processes, interacting with many different stakeholders across RBC and TI Executives
We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, enthusiasm for continuous improvement, and comfort in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
What will you do?
- Maintain day-to-day operations of the Cloud tower, working closely with the team on financial and operational matters.
- Maintain oversight on eBudget for monthly forecast and planning cycle, provide monthly report and reconciliation on eBudget records for Cloud BAU, and major initiatives.
- Maintain a detailed tracking equipment cost and Pro fees spend to be included on the monthly financial package to Leadership team.
- Manage and facilitate the operational/approval process for all spend which impacts Cloud NIE by working with key partners within TI and outside of TI (i.e., Finance, Procurement, Third Party Risk, TI Business management office, PO team)
- Maintain oversight on Vendor billing and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Develop and maintain an analysis and perspective on the vendor spend/value for Cloud and TI Shared Services (TISS)
- Responsible for the monthly accrual process by preparing the accrual list to Finance with the support documentation.
- Maintain a detailed analysis of TI Shared Services costs and ensure that the forecasted spend aligns with the strategies of the teams that comprise TISS. Partner with Finance and Senior Management team to ensure that forecasts are transparently and accurately reported.
- Support annual end-to-end Cloud and TISS NIE Operating Plan
- Enhance PAR tracking and monitoring process, interface with BAS, Business Managers and TI Executives to ensure PAR tracking process aligns to overall TI strategy.
- Provide monthly and on demand views of the M7 initiatives tracking and commentaries.
- Continuously look for the ways to improve processes and increase transparency for the stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance, as well as a minimum of 5-7 years of financial reporting experience
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of general financial concepts and ability to grasp new ones quickly, as well as the capacity to work independently under pressure, prioritize work, and successfully meet deadlines.
- Strategic and innovative thinker, and result-oriented team player and relationship builder, with strong analytical, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Ability to promote and implement best practices and improved methods to get the work done, and the ability to present to senior management and executives.
