Job Title: Senior Supervisor, Accountanting

Location: Gort, Co. Galway – Hybrid

Job Type: Full time permanent

The Senior Accountant will be part of our international finance team and will report to the Division Controller. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-ledger in a manufacturing and shared services in a heavily regulated environment. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a diverse and dynamic team.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Responsible for Statutory audit compliance of European entities.
• Responsible for general ledger and month end reporting to tight deadlines for European entities.
• Maintain internal controls and provide insight on opportunities for process improvement.
• Revenue recognition reporting at quarter end in compliance with US GAAP ASC 606 .
• Preparation review and analysis of Cadency reconciliations.
• Support the operations team in Europe . Provide analysis on day to day operations. New project costing.
• Oversee VAT reporting and filing on a monthly basis.
• Support Corporate tax team with various queries.
• Preparation of R & D tax Credit.
• Assist with reporting and ad hoc projects as required.
• Provide support to other functions as required.
• Supervision and development of team members.
• Any other duties as required.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree from college or university in Accounting and/or Finance.
• ACA/ACCA qualification.
• 5+years of experience gained in a multinational company with shared service centre exposure advantageous.
• Experience of statutory accounting and VAT in other European countries an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and standards. Local and US GAAP.
• Self-starter with willingness to take initiative and follow through on tasks.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as multi-tasking and working to deadlines.
• Excellent Excel/IT skills, Oracle experience advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide effective customer service to various levels of individuals/teams and build strong working relationships across the organisation.
• Collaborative team player; adaptable and comfortable working in a changing and fast paced environment.
