JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the General Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible
for general accounting functions, including entering bank transactions, monthly accruals and
adjustments, reviewing and reconciling accounting data, updating and maintaining
documentation of accounting processes, and maintaining internal controls. This position
requires strong analytical and reasoning skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record bank transactions across all Simpleview bank accounts and subsidiary bank accounts
  • Maintain supporting documentation for all bank transactions, and reconcile merchant processing batches each week
  • Maintain amortization schedules for various accruals such as capitalized commissions, accrued expenses, and deferred rent
  • Prepare journal entries for month end accruals and adjustments
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts monthly, including payroll tax and sales tax liabilities as part of month end close process
  • Pay Per Click – administrator, account analysis, and reconciliation
  • Prepare fixed asset and internally developed software reconciliations and roll-forward worksheets
  • Support the external audit process and auditor requests
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting systems and processes improvement
  • Clearly document processes and procedures related to your role
  • Support other accounting areas and team members as needed
  • Participate in other ad-hoc analyses, reports, and projects as needed by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; 2 to
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Word and other Office/Windows applications
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and able to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple, competing tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with multiple entities within a Group and Foreign Currency exposure preferred
  • High level of proficiency with accounting ERPs, preferably NetSuite, and experience with SAP Concur Expense Management software
  • CPA, or studying towards admission

Most positions are based at our Tucson, AZ, or Liverpool, UK headquarters offices. However, based on the job role, we will also review remote candidates.
