You take pride in your strong communication skills, empathy, and have a strong problem solving mindset.How you will create an impact-Own the accounts payable process serving as the gatekeeper for all vendor invoices in our automated processing system.-Record all multi currency cash transactions for both US and Canadian bank accounts.-Conduct regular financial analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget monitoring and cash forecasting.-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.-Assist in the transition from ASPE to US GAAP.-Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.-Review all employee expense reports for business necessity, accuracy, currency, and support.-Assist in the annual US GAAP audit.-Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.What should you have-2-3 years of experience in a similar role with a bachelor’s degree in accounting-Experience with NetSuite or similar ERPs-Experience with Zip or similar accounts payable automation software-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel-Strong attention to detail.-Strong professional communication skills as a representative of DealMaker when engaging our vendors and partners.-Ability to work and deliver on projects in a fast paced environment and with multiple stakeholders. -Strong drive to own your responsibilities and execute timely with accuracy.-Ability to think out of the box and improve processes to drive efficiency and the accuracy of the monthly financial reporting process.-Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. \nDealMaker is well funded, backed by over 20 years of US and Canadian industry experience.
