An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to assist in the service delivery of the Discharge Lounge.The Discharge Lounge operates Monday-Friday 8am-8pm based at both Bournemouth ad Poole sites. Our aim is to provide a comfortable and safe environment for our patients transferring from hospital to home and to support timely flow and bed availability in UHD.Applicants will be expected to be flexible to a developing service, have an innovative approach to meet the needs of the patients and service. - Educated to degree level or relevant experience/qualifications.
Desirable
- Post graduate studies or a desire/willingness to attend
ExperienceEssential
- Minimum of 12 months at pay band 5 within the relevant speciality
- Good communication skills and able to work independently and on own initiative.
Desirable
- Previous NHS experience
- Developing policies and protocols
Techical Skills CompetenciesEssential
- Computer literacy with a wide range of software’s. Databases and spread sheets.
- Experience of administration of medicines.
