We are pleased to announce that the Statewide Programs Unit within the Court Services Division of the State Court Administrator’s Office is looking for a skilled State Treatment Courts Grant Lead. This position will work to implement all Bureau of Justice Administration (BJA) grant projects, manage grant fiscal tasks, support the work of the treatment court strategic planning committee, and support the Treatment Court Program statewide. This is a temporary position expected to last through 9/30/2025, with the possibility of extension through 9/30/2026, depending on grant funding. For internal candidates (current employees), this position may be considered for a mobility assignment with appropriate supervisor approval.

Example of Duties

The following are examples of major job duties expected for this position to perform.

  • Implementation of all BJA Grant projects to include staffing the treatment court strategic planning committee and improving performance measures.
  • Manage all fiscal aspects of the grant including expenditures, reporting, informing leadership of grant progress and RFP processes.
  • Review, analyze, and recommend opportunities for improvement within the grant parameters.
  • Provide coverage for State Treatment Court Coordinator including responding to general inquiries from court staff, judges, and the general public.

Minimum Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in political science, public affairs, criminal justice, sociology, or a closely related area, preferably supplemented by a master’s degree in public or court administration.
  • Experience in a trial court, which provided an understanding of the caseflow process, from time of filing to case disposition.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in and/or knowledge of treatment court best practice, operations, and Judicial Branch policy.
  • Familiarity with Department of Justice grant rules, regulations and requirements including the DOJ Financial Guide and 2 CFR 200.

Salary
The expected starting salary range for external candidates is $29.74 -$37.90 per hour ($62,097 – $79,135 annually). The full salary range for this position is $29.74 -$46.05 per hour ($62,097 – $96,152 annually). This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for State of MN employee benefits.

Supplemental Information

Position Logistics
This full-time position is classified as a Court Operations Analyst I. The position will work normal business hours 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This work will be conducted in a hybrid environment. In-person work will occur at the Minnesota Judicial Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, 1-3 times per month, or as business needs dictate.
