In 2024, it achieved Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, focusing on sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and migration assistance.The association was registered as an Extra-Provincial Corporation in Alberta, Canada, in 2024. On October 15, 2024, it adopted the name Promotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association Canada Ltd for use in Alberta-Canada.Our Mission: We empower our members by improving living conditions, promoting biodiversity, restoring landscapes, assisting newcomers, and addressing climate change through sustainable practices.Our Main Objectives:Ameliorate the living conditions of our members.
Promote and encourage biodiversity conservation.
Support the restoration of degraded landscapes (farms, water sources, forests, etc.) through tree planting and growing.
Provide migration assistance to newcomers in Canada.
Validate actions that adapt to and mitigate climate change.Context:PROSDOMA is committed to promoting the welfare of immigrants and refugees, focusing on the unique challenges faced by people in these situations. With the rise of climate refugees, war refugees, and other forms of displacement, many children find themselves without a father figure. Additionally, countless children experience neglect at home, where fathers may be physically present but emotionally absent due to ignorance of their role’s importance. This storytelling campaign seeks to illuminate these issues, providing a platform for the voices of children and their experiences, both positive and negative and as such PROSDOMA is seeking passionate storytellers to share real-life experiences highlighting the profound effects of absent fathers on children. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by children separated from their fathers due to climate-induced displacement, war, and other factors, as well as those who experience neglect in stable environments.Task type:Writing and EditingTask description:Task Description:
We are looking for 4 Online Volunteers who can share compelling stories that highlight the effects of absent fathers on children’s lives. Each volunteer will be responsible for writing at least one article per week for the duration of the assignment. The stories should:1.Focus on the challenges faced by children without father figures, including emotional struggles and societal neglect.
2.Showcase success stories of individuals who have thrived despite the absence of a father, providing hope and inspiration.
3.Highlight stories of those who have not recovered from the absence of a father.
4.highlight the broader context of children affected by displacement, war, or climate change.
6.Respect individuals’ privacy, sharing stories only with permission.Story Length: Articles should be at most 2 pages, formatted in Arial, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
Story Collection: Volunteers will conduct online interviews or discussions with individuals who are willing to share their stories. These individuals can be identified through community groups, social media platforms, or local support organizations focused on children and family welfare.
No Costs Incurred: Volunteers will not incur any costs in collecting these stories. The emphasis is on gathering narratives that resonate and raise awareness.
Support and Guidance: Volunteers will receive guidance on ethical storytelling practices, including how to respect privacy and ensure that stories are shared with permission. We encourage volunteers to write in clear, accessible English to engage a broad audience.We are looking for online volunteers with story telling skills who can write engaging articles that are informative, empathetic, and educational, raising awareness about the need for supportive father figures and healthy family dynamics. Your contributions will be shared on PROSDOMA’s social media channels, helping to inspire and comfort those who may feel neglected.Requirements:No professional qualifications are needed; we welcome any volunteers with a genuine experience to share.
Strong command of basic English to ensure accessibility for all readers.
Respect for privacy and permission to share personal stories.
