Electrical Products supports SI solutions with low voltage distribution and control systems.The Manager of the Strategy and Process Technology Department will report to the Director of Strategy & Process Technology of Smart Infrastructure, Electrical Products for North America, responsible for the groups week-to-week direction and activity that focuses on operational strategy and advanced process development across all SI EP NA facilities.The Manager of Strategy & Process Technology Department will lead a multidisciplinary department and, also in a working role, evaluate strategic direction, manufacturing technology and lead projects as strategically assigned. Projects range from mandated changes to capacity growth / productivity improvements; the impact of the projects ranges from customer configuration through delivery of products. Success will be measured from the successful start-up, integration, and sustainable use of defined methods or improvements in complex electrical/mechanical products and related manufacturing environments. The department is also responsible for the evaluation and integration of new technology staying ahead of manufacturing needs such that seamless integration of new technology or methods can occur.You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Evaluate advanced processes and integration across operations, considering impacts on process, plant, personnel, and product.
  • Perform strategic analysis to ensure compliance, market delivery, and profitability.
  • Facilitate strategic project management, including New Product Introductions, to align profitability, manufacturability, and sourcing.
  • Develop and manage process structures for strategic alignment and optimization in manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Increase business performance transparency by improving measurement, visualization, and reaction to process performance.
  • Set standards for translating technical issues into financial business plans, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Supporting the organization in development of business plans.
  • Develop a network within Siemens and key suppliers for cross-sharing and leverage. For key project/supply relationships, influence the standards of OEM products to meet our standards.
  • Review and implement global procedures as required.
  • Support Operations team development and culture through mentoring and coaching.
  • In the context of Strategy and Process Technology department:
  • Lead and coordinate with department’s technical specialists.
  • Develop current talent and recruit future talent per Growth Initiative and business needs.
  • Oversee technical risk management and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Prioritize strategy, safety, quality, and delivery in business processes and decisions.
  • Manage the department’s budget and resources.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Manufacturing Systems, Industrial).
  • Strong understanding of large businesses in a matrixed organization.
  • 10+ years as a project leader/manager in Manufacturing Management or large projects (scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, prioritizing, risk management).
  • Strong financial acumen for translating technical aspects into financial plans and budget control.
  • Proven strategic thinking to bridge theory and reality across industries.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with lean techniques and modern manufacturing processes (data analytics, AI, visualization, error proofing).
  • Excellent project management skills (planning, resource management, execution within scope, budget, and schedule).
  • Proficiency in communication tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • 40% travel (may vary by location).
  • Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional, global teamwork.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in German, Spanish, and/or French is a plus.
  • Adaptability to dynamic environments.
  • Master’s degree in business, engineering management, or engineering.
  • Skilled in relationship building, team motivation, and stakeholder analysis.
  • Experience in engineer-to-order/make-to-order environments in the electrical apparatus/power distribution industry.
  • Expertise in developing and framing full-scale projects and communication plans.
  • Effective collaboration across all organizational facets, from design to delivery, and engineering to customer service.
  • Diligent and transparent project reporting and control.
  • Ability to communicate concisely with C-level executives.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, risk identification, and mitigation.
