Job Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Ottawa, Ontario, (full-time, on-site)

The firm is expanding its services to offer comprehensive solutions, including mechanical and electrical engineering, while maintaining a close-knit team to ensure the highest quality of work.Position Overview: The firm is seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer with 4-7 years of experience and a valid P.Eng. license. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong background in consulting engineering.Key Responsibilities:Design and analyze structural components for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.Develop detailed construction plans and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.Conduct site visits to assess structural integrity and provide technical guidance during construction phases.Prepare structural assessment reports and participate in the permit acquisition process.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices within the firm.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus.4-7 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably within a consulting environment.Valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license.Proficiency in structural design software and CAD tools.Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to engage in business development and client relationship management.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience with a comprehensive benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Supportive work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.Potential for partnership track within the firm.Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume, and a portfolio of relevant work to [email protected].
