Job Summary
 

The Student Assistant will support the Multicultural Affairs on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2024.

The student assistant in the Office of Multicultural Affairs will play a key role in supporting the office’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse campus community. This part-time, on-campus position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated student to contribute to the development and implementation of multicultural programs, events, and initiatives.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.


Responsibilities
 

  • Provides customer service
  • Completes campus errands
  • Assist with planning and promoting programs and events to meet the social and academic needs of students
  • Work in conjunction with office staff to meet the needs of students
  • Assists staff as needed monitoring assigned facilities
  • Completes general administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents, and data entry
  • Utilizes a multiline phone system to answer and transfer telephone calls

Shift Specifics

  • Up to 20 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability


Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.


Proposed Salary
 

$10.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
