LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive universityStudent Communities – LSE LIFEStudent Lifecycle Programme OfficerSalary from £42,429 to £50,656 pa, with potential to progress to £54,295 pa inclusive of London allowanceFixed-term appointment until 31 July 2029The roleAs a Student Lifecycle Programme Officer, you will coordinate a programme of activity to support students’ whole journey at LSE, from when they receive an offer through to their first job post-studies. Working closely with multiple teams across the School, you will coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of a pilot tailored support programme for contextual offer holders, aiming to provide equitable access to the School’s academic, personal and professional developmental opportunities and support services. You will work closely with other operational roles involved in the delivery of related activities and support the programme’s strategic project board. The postholder will be directly responsible for activities in the access and on-course stages of the student lifecycle, based in the Student Communities Team with a dotted-line reporting link to the Widening Participation Team.The team and wider contextThis innovative project is a key element of our Access and Participation Plan and contributes to the School’s strategy, LSE2030 – Educate for Global Impact strand, to improve equality of opportunity for students from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds.You will work with colleagues at all stages of the student lifecycle to develop practical solutions to complex problems, that reflect and respond to students’ needs and feedback. The Student Lifecycle Programme Officer will also work closely with evaluation experts to evaluate, monitor and report on the programme’s outputs and impact.What we’re looking forWe’re looking for someone with the ability to lead operational development and delivery of the programme, in order to deliver on our strategic objectives. Essential skills and experience include:· Experience of managing projects and/or relationships with multiple stakeholders and contributors· Knowledge or interest in the UK higher education sector; and widening participation issues· Experience of consulting service users or project beneficiaries to gather feedback and inform continuous improvementWhat LSE has to offerLSE is one of the world’s leading institutions for the study of the social sciences.
