University College is the founding college of Durham University. Our home is Durham Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. University College has around 1100 undergraduate members and 750 postgraduate members; 450 of these live in college accommodation. The student community, organized into the Junior and Middle Common Rooms (JCR & MCR), is heavily engaged in more than 30 clubs and societies and led by two dedicated Executive Committees of student leaders. The College holds a vibrant calendar of events and activities including weekly formal dinners during term, alongside a wide range of academic, social and Charity events and volunteering programmes.
We are looking to recruit a full-time College Student Support Administrator. The Student Support Administrator will support the running of an efficient and effective administrative support service to the college management team in relation to student support, and will be a primary point of contact for the students of the College. The post-holder will work closely with our Student Support team, including our Assistant Principal, Assistant Student Support Officer and Chaplain in order to ensure our students are supported during their time at University College. The Student Support Administrator also has a key role in administering accommodation processes for University College.
