Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?
As a member of the Creative Production Management team, the Traffic Manager is responsible for the efficient intake management of creative and production studio requests from across the RBC enterprise, collaborating with senior management, studio, inventory analysts and business partners alike.This role has two principal functions: (1) the ability to triage and balance urgent partner/client creative and production request needs, to effectively scope and communicate intake priorities to the internal senior management team, and (2) an experienced understanding of creative design workflows and senior project management skillset to navigate and initiate system project setup for our creative-production studio.What will you do?
- Champion the CPM and CP day-to-day partner intake relationship by being the welcoming and steadfast first point of contact for all creative and production project scope requests coming into studio
- Knowledgeably assess and communicate on creative and/or production project intake requirements – that could range from a high level strategic marketing platform, to an executional copy update on a printed form
- Conduct daily review of all incoming and in-progress studio project requests to track partner responses and required action items between both the requesting partner/LOB and internal studio management team; by assessing scope details and flagging any roadblocks, missing details and/or rush considerations
- Contacts partners directly when information is needed for the successful initiation of studio projects and workflows. Quickly assess the bandwidth of certain teams to assign executional requests as needed.
- Open project dockets and assign all resources into our Virtual Production System (VPS), Marketing Resource Management (MRM) capacity tool and BOX file folder structure
- Supports and upholds the studio creative and production processes, as directed by the Resource and Studio Senior Managers, and in collaboration with the Project Team Managers
- Responsible to adhere to department identified SLAs when triaging, responding and reporting.
- Demonstrate strong project management capabilities by demonstrating leadership on project initiation kickoff and project system setup.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have:
- Demonstrate strong project management capabilities by demonstrating leadership on project initiation kickoff and project system setup. Must be able to prioritize, be a self-starter, take on required responsibility and be detail oriented
- Intimate understanding of both (a) Agency Creative Development Processes, and (b) Production to Prepress workflows. Clear differentiating knowledge of brand and marketing assets across digital and print
- High level awareness of creative vendor relationships pertaining to photography, retouching, videography, animation, illustration, print etc.
- Working knowledge (5- 7years’ experience) within an advertising agency or marketing/design and production studio
- Excellent project management, organizational and communication skills. Strong appreciation and comfort in using MS Excel and engaging with various system tools and processes.
Nice-to-have:Highly proficient in the following competencies :
- Familiarity with image, video and audio stock purchasing
