There will be opportunities for collaboration which will be provided alongside training and mentoring support within the team.You will be delivering general academic and practical support to disabled students, working dynamically with colleagues from all parts of the university. Hypothetical breakdown of pro-rata salary:If appointed to this part time (5 hours per week) position at the bottom of the salary band (Grade 3 – point 11) your anticipated gross pay per month would be £187.96. Edge Hill University pay term staff monthly in arrears, in twelve equal instalments.This example monthly gross pay figure is based on:

  • Full Time Full Year equivalent salary of £23581.00 ÷ 52 weeks ÷ 36.25 hours (full time equivalent contract hours) = £12.5098 per hour.
  • £12.5098 per hour x 5 hours per week x 36.06 weeks (i.e., the 32 term time working weeks you work + 4.06 additional pay weeks in lieu of your annual leave and statutory leave) = £2255.52 annual actual gross salary before tax, national insurance, and any other deductions.
  • £2255.52 ÷ 12 months = £187.96 equal gross pay monthly instalments.
  • This scenario is based on a start date of 1st September and working a full year. This example salary amount is subject to change depending on candidate start-date within the year, and where in the salary band the candidate is hired.
